On Sunday I’ll be walking my third 5k Race for Life in Cambridge. This year my group of friends has expanded and although some of them know people who have or are suffering with this awful disease, I am proud to say they are also doing it to support me. 
They are an amazing group of people who two years ago I barely knew. We met through doing Couch 25K programs and continuous training programs afterwards. We’re now good friends and support each other and enjoy the odd breakfast and cuppa on a Saturday morning. 

Even though I can’t run at the moment, I’m still part of the group and I am so proud of their achievements from progressing from 5K to half marathons. Tou are awesome 👏🏻
So when I said I was doing this years Race for Life, they stepped up to join me and Team Carol have nearly reached £1000 in donations. 
I wanted to say thank you to all of you for what I know will be a fun event. It may not be the fastest 5K we’ve ever done but it will have the greatest meaning to me. 
You have no how idea how you have helped me and Mark through the most difficult time of our lives.
